The Real Ghostbusters Firehouse Playhouse – Faux Brick Wall & Ecto-1 Door We're making a real Ghostbusters firehouse playset for our son. This is another Ghostbusters HQ firehouse playset update. We focus on making the faux brick and the main firehouse door perfect for the blitzway Ghostbusters Ecto-1 1/6th scale. We have finally started the details on the outside of the fire station facade exterior. This Ghostbusters playhouse has interior & furniture inspired from the 80's toys, movies and cartoons.

This update video is #12 in the series focused on making of the Ghostbusters headquarters playhouse firehouse façade. It's not a Halloween façade for a haunted house walkthrough maze full of DIY Halloween props but its kind of in the same ballpark as far as creating a themed prop. After all its Spook Central Ghostbusters headquarters. We are drawing inspiration for the design of this extreme DIY playhouse off the Ghostbusters filming locations. The exterior of the Firehouse building in New York, Hook & Ladder Company 8 and the interior of the Fire Station No. 23 in Los Angeles. The fire stations have been a filming location for several other shows and movies but as the home base for the Ghostbusters what better fire station could you model from for a kids playhouse. We also got a few ideas from looking over our sons Ghostbusters firehouse Playmobil set and the LEGO Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters images online, wish we had that! Other inspirations for ideas came from the Ghostbusters video game and The Real Ghostbusters animated TV series cartoon. We will be posting a series of videos of all the construction update videos and details of how we make this playhouse. We are incorporating two cedar wood playsets with the slides, climbing wall, swings, monkey bars, rope, fireman's pole, and any other playground equipment we can find a great deal on. The plan is to incorporate some other items from the Ghostbusters movies like a ghost, electrical shut off switches, wooden lockers, wood railing, slimer with slime splats, the stay puft marshmallow man, and much more.

I know we always have grand plans but we will see how many of these we can accomplish. We are super excited to work on this custom playhouse project full of nostalgia so please stay tuned and join us on this new adventure.
