Making Afterlife Mini Stay Puft Figures 👻 Ghostbusters Christmas Tree
Creating themed Christmas trees in the past has been so much fun we wanted to think up something new this year. Since we were just generously gifted a couple boxes of Ghostbuster Afterlife Mini-Puft Plasma Series Stay Puft Marshmallow men from Hasbro we thought how fun it would be if they took over our tree and make a Ghostbusters themed Christmas tree. But we were going to need way more than six. So we thought making a silicon mold would be our best option. Using some left over Smooth On two-part Mold Star we created a simple cavity for the little guys to fit in using some PVC we had. The molds turned out awesome. Because we wanted to make a bunch, plaster seemed the best and most economical way to go and we already have ten or so bags of it sitting in our garage LOL! We mixed the plaster according to the manufacturer’s directions and now had a cast of our Mini Pufts. Add a bit of paint and a little ribbon on his hat and their good to go. We use a thin wire wrapped around an arm or leg to help attach the Mini Puft to a tree branch. We also wanted to create some kind of tree topper, so we headed to Walmart and purchased a few bags of the Campfire brand mini marshmallows. Chris made a standout of plexiglass to slide in the bag and glued some marshmallows and our plaster mini pufts as if they were being dumped out onto the tree. For added effect we placed a bunch of our Ghostbuster toys and presents under the tree. And lastly once night fell, we turned on our black light to really make the white pop!

We have to admit the best part of making this fun tree is making a memory with our family. Teaching our son how make things and be creative is just the best.
