Real Ghostbusters Haunted House Tour – Retro Halloween Party Decorations

You're invited to a Real Ghostbusters firehouse Halloween bash full of vintage retro Halloween party decorations. Join us for a haunted house walkthrough and Ghostbuster themed Halloween display tour. The family decided to decorate the Ghostbusters headquarters and turn it into a Ghostbusters Halloween display complete with a Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. We pulled out several retro die-cuts ad ghost decorations and lighting. We drew inspiration from The Real Ghostbusters 80s cartoon Halloween episode. The black silhouettes of Halloween witches, jack o lantern, ghosts, skeletons, and black cats on the outside of the firehouse came from the cartoon. Another fun Easter egg was dressing up Slimer in a ghost costume. We also used orange and black streamers, purple lights, green slime and several ghostbuster themed props.

We made this huge hook and ladder firehouse playhouse and have a making of video series focused on the fabrication of the Ghostbusters firehouse façade and playhouse. We are drew inspiration for the design of this Spook Central Ghostbusters headquarters/extreme DIY playhouse off the Ghostbusters filming locations. The exterior of the Firehouse building in New York, Hook & Ladder Company 8 and the interior of the Fire Station No. 23 in Los Angeles. The fire stations have been a filming location for several other shows and movies but as the home base for the Ghostbusters what better fire station could you model from for a kids playhouse. We also got a few ideas from looking over our sons Ghostbusters firehouse Playmobil set and the LEGO Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters images online, wish we had that! Other inspirations for ideas came from the Ghostbusters video game and The Real Ghostbusters animated TV series cartoon. We posted a series of videos of all the construction update videos and details of how we made the playhouse. We incorporated two cedar wood playsets with the slides, climbing wall, swings, monkey bars, rope, fireman's pole, and other playground equipment we found a great deal on. We tried to incorporate some other items from the Ghostbusters movies like a ghost, electrical shut off switches, wooden lockers, wood railing, slimer with slime splats, the stay puft marshmallow man, and much more.
