How to make a DIY homemade skeleton – Part 1.
For this year’s haunted forest, I wanted to make a realistic looking corpse, and as usual, I am on a shoestring budget. Instead of buying a $100 skeleton, I thought I would build it from scratch using odds and ends of parts I had laying around the house.
This did take a fair amount of time, so if you have more money than time, you may want to skip this step and just buy a plastic skeleton.
This is a list of materials I used:
Bones – 34” PVC pipe
Joints – coat hanger wire
Fingers, toes, ligaments – neoprene hose & electrical wire
Ribcage – Electrical romex, coat hangar wire, newspapers
Elbows, knees & shoulder bones – wadded up aluminum foil
Duct tape, duct tape and more duct tape
Did you make one like this? What worked, what didn’t? Leave a comment, I would love to hear about your creepy creation.
